Do You Want, Do You Want, Do You Want It All?

Because you want it to be all?

Having some realisations this morning. Going home to the rolling hills always makes me a bit thoughtful but I’ve just realised that I’M TWENTY YEARS OLD now. What the!? Like…I’m an adult…in the terms of bus fares, government laws & drinking regulations. I’m 20 not 18. I think I skipped out being 19. Even though I met Meryl Streep as a 19 year old it was a pretty pointless age. I was going to say that I should start thinking about doing something with my life now instead of being all relaxed & saying “I’ve achieved everything I wanted to do” which is true but I think I’m ready to start living. Currently, I’m starting my own business so that counts towards the above statement. I have a job which is more than 80% of the Countries population. That statistic is probably right disappointingly. I have a house that’s being built as we speak. It has a staircase & a beautiful kitchen that we designed ourselves. We even picked out the taps & light switches & plug sockets!
In just under a month I’m going to America! The land of…whatever they claim it to be the land of & I’m going there. Another dream achieved. I’m definitely an over-achiever in life. Not going to lie.

There’s a funfare in the park. Never a good thing.

Undisappointingly, an interesting realisation is the fact that we still make walls like the Romans did in Derbyshire? Most of our stone walls are just stones on top of each other then the tops are just held by a bit of cement. How crazy is that?

Undisappointingly is NOW a word.

Random post now over. Your safe ;)

Materialism #1

Materialism it’s a religion.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream

£25

I’ve heard a lot of reviews about how hydrating this is, I really want to try it for my holiday because the sun dries me out like a sun-dried tomato! However, I tried one or two Elizabeth Arden products when I was younger and they were SO rich. Like…on the extreme side and the scents were really over-powering. Comments?

Origins Drink Up Hydrating Face Mask

£19.00

You can never be too hydrated! I want to use this for flights so my skin doesn’t die a death!

MAC eyeshadow – Digit

£11.50

At the moment, I only have one MAC eye shadow and it’s totally the wrong colour for my skin because it’s very pinky and my eyes are already red and veiny. Missed matched! It was originally brought for when I got colds because I went through a phase of having a quite a few! The packaging has now rubbed off so I can’t even tell you what shade it was and I’m trying to not let that put me off MAC eyeshadows but it kind of has. Digit, on the other hand, is a lovely grey-blue shade and I am currently using a very simular shade in my Sleek -Natural Palette (found at Superdrug). The reason I’m yearning for this little pot is because I’ve got a feeling it will create the perfect daytime smokey eye. If you have this shade or a simular one, let me know!

3. Nails Inc. Nail Polish – Bruton Street

£11

I love Nails Inc. They last forever. Money well spent. Google this colour. All will be explained. End of.

Ojon Damage Reverse Instant Restorative Hair Serum

£16

It has built in UV sunscreens to protect your beautiful locks and head! Very important in the summer sunshine. I can’t imagine anything more painful than a sunburnt scalp? ouchhhhh!

A Dark Spot Correcting Serum

You have to be smart about the above topic because a lot of companies make these “life changing” claims….Life changing is going to be a word that’s going to get stapled to me one of these days if I don’t stop saying it. There’s a few I’ve spotted ; Clinique Dark Spot Corrector £54 ( A WHOPPING.) It must work if they can charge that much, right? Probably not. Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution £36 which is pretty much a standard price range for them. Really I’m throwing this out there at you few readers, what do you use? What have you reviewed? Let me know!

L’Occitane Fresh Face Water

£13.50

In a morning, if I’ve cleansed, toned & moisturised really well the previous Eve then I never know what to do because I can’t moisturise on top of already moisturised skin and there’s nothing to remove so I don’t want to cleanse & tone. So what does a girl do? I refuse to put JUST water on my face because it removes ALL goodness from it. So no. Then I saw Lisa Eldridge mention this water in her ELLE magazine column.

Sit Tight by Soap & Glory

£16.50

This new release from S&G has got a lot of people talking & even I can’t wait to try it! I’m waiting for a few reviews to pop up online first though! I’m always dubious of such products!

Caudalie Beauty Elixir

£9.90

Because of the hype.

Figs & Rouge Rambling Rose Lip Balm

£3

I dropped mine in a bar. Now I’m single. Not really! But you know that feeling when you fall for a product then you lose it on a night out. Story of your life? Yeah, I thought so. ;)

As a teenager growing up I saved a lot of my money to buy bits and pieces from Dior Cosmetics, I haven’t been to one of there counters in yearsssssssss! Any recommendations?

The Final Comment

We all want stuff.

Believe it or not I was tempted to leave it as that. Heeeeee! But I won’t. My grammar has been pretty appalling in this blog. Apologies for that. I thought I’d do an update list of what’s on my “want but probably never get because I’m too busy at Chanel” list. I’d like to hear about your faves too! Let me know if you liked this new stylin’.

Love as ever!

SUMMERS HERE

Even for just a day!

One month today I’ll be jet setting away to the states & I’ve been thinking about what deserves to be on my SUMMER HOLIDAY PLAYLIST over the past few weeks and I’ve decided.

I had already put it together as a playlist together a few weeks ago for when I was doing some painting so here it is:

1. Wild Window by Fool’s Gold

I’d never heard of this band til about a month ago when I heard this track on a youtube video and as soon as I heard it I just wanted to dance!

2.  Surprise Hotel by Fool’s Gold

Yeah you should probably check these guys out.

(Currently, sat in the garden. The sun’s melting my macbook keys, is this meant to happen?)

3. Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye

This is a bit obvious because it’s been so popular recently but to me it reminds me of all my beautiful team I used to work with at my phone shooop! There’s only a few of us left now but we had a beauts team a few months ago!

4. Walking With A Ghost by Tegan & Sara

Because they used to do a lot of the soundtracks for Grey’s Anatomy and shows like that and I love there sound. This track is VERY catchy.

5. Back In Your Head by Tegan & Sara

6. When I’m Alone by Lissie

This may sound ridic but I only really like the live version of this but it reminds me of last summer at work <3

7. Shake It Out but Florence + The Machine

This song reminds me of the Streepers and it’s a pretty epic tune. I figured since I’m going on holiday with them, this had to feature in there.

8. Feel So Close by Calvin Harris

I’ve heard this song loads in clubs and it’s not exactly what I’d call MY STYLE of track but I could dance to it alllll day! Hotel Room Rave anyone?

9. Midnight City by M83

Three seasons of Made In Chelsea later and this sound is finally big again and playing EVERYWHERE. I like it because of it because the Made In Chelsea Title Song but also because the end of it is actually beautiful. Listen to the full sound and see the part that MIC didn’t ruin.

10. He Won’t Go (remix) by Dante

I found this track on line and love it wayyy more than the orig.

http://soundcloud.com/dantekinnunen/dante-wont-go

11. Set Fire to The Rain by Adele

Because it’s a classis. Or will be in a few many years time. It also is another nostalgic track for me!

12. Gypsy by Fleetwood Mac

AAHHHHH THIS SONG. Will always be a fave. Will always be on a playlist!

13. Someone Else by Henry Wolfe

My boyfriend purchased this album for me for Christmas to add to my collection! And I adore all of the songs on there, my boyfriend likes it which makes it even better. There’s a great Neil Young cover on there which EVERYONE IN THE WORLD should check out. Personally, I like it over the original.

14. Princess of China by Coldplay ft Rhianna

This track is so….I can’t think of the word…I’m trying to not say epic again ….dramatic? Like Like.

15. Finally, the final one will be Never Let Me Go by Florence + The Machine

Because it’s the fittest finale song!

Let me know what your summer/holiday playlists will be!

EAT YOUR HEART OUT LUSH COSMETICS

(with thanks to Kirsty Evers)

Every time I go to a Lush store, I immediately become like EVERY OTHER PERSON IN THE WORLD. I’m like a walking humongous piece of irony.

“Oh my gosh, smell this!” “Oh my gosh, I want to eat that it smells so good” SMITH. IT’S CALLED LUSH FOR A REASON. GET OVER IT.

Then we have the shop assistants. They’re like… “Hi can I help you find what your looking for?” And you look up and they’re always so glowing, radiant and grinny that you automatically think you need help finding a product that you aren’t even looking for. SOML.

As this pain, that will hit my bank account straight away & me when I’ve left the store, slowly grows in strength I hit the till. However, now we are faced with the largest green-eyed-scary-diseased-monster because now there’s a queue and you have to try and not buy anything whilst queuing in the middle of the store and you just can’t help but think you want that soap that the woman in front of you in holding BECAUSE IT SMELLS SO GOOD. After this, the final battle commencers, your at the till and WHAT DO YOU SEE? LIP SCRUBS?

Lip scrubs?

To get rid of dry skin on your lips? You ask the cashier.

“Yes”

She answers sweetly. It’s not, however, that simple because this is LUSH and the lovely lady proceeds to tell you about all the lovely ingredients and nourishing factors in it. Plus it tastes like sugar.

Luckily, I have refrained from buying one of these about 10  times. Even more lucky, my beautiful friend Kirsty and myself were shopping a couple of weeks ago and when we had this situation of me at the counter yearning for A LIP SCRUB (it sounds kinda freaky!) She took a look at the ingredients and was like… “it’s just sugar. You could make this”

DunDunDunnnnnnnnnnnnn!

So I have!

BOOM.

I got some SUGAR SUGAR SUGAR.

That’s just normal sugar for the record.

Then I got a travel container – like a little eye shadow palette. I cleaned it out then poured in a little sugar then add:

L’Occitane Moisturising Lip BalmImage

Then stirred it with an Elf lip brush.

Now I have a lip scrub, I’ve made use of my lip balm that I’ve fallen out of love with and mine actually exfoliates my lips so….WIN.

I’ve saved myself £4.95 and I got rid of a massive piece of dry skin that is the bain of my existence.

It looks pretty gross but here it is! :

Image

I ALSO FOUND THIS TODAYYYY! A GOSH SET THAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS! WOOOOO! PRESENT TIME!

I LOVE THIS! WILL BE SPORTING SO BEAUTS GOLD TOMORROW. Yeah baby.

Image

Yeah so that’s that. Thought I’d share my knowledge with you. Or rather…Kirsty’s knowledge.

Before I got I would just like to dedicate this post to Kirsty because she’s shown so much support for this Blog and it makes it all worth while. Every time I open up wordpress I never know if all my followers will have left me but I know my good friends will always stay and be supportive of what I’m doing. Sending much love and hugs to you girl, you deserve the best in life, from the best.

You can quote me on that if you like?

Thanks for reading!

KARL vs RAY-BAN

Like every other girl in the fashion cult-filled world, I own a pair of my very own REAL Ray-Ban Wayfarers. Just the plain black frames. They were a present for my birthday, to add to my collection of designer sunglasses. Now if I was to make a new holiday purchase, I’m calling it my holiday purchase because my vay-cay is going to be my excuse for purchase. I’ve had a look online and I’m torn between TWO pairs. Instead of making a decision or worst, buying both pairs…I thought you’d all like to choose for me?

First up these black acetate frames from KARL. Every since I dreamed of being Paris Hiltons BFF at the age of 13, I’ve adored oversized, dinner plate, style frames. They suite my rosy round face quite perfectly. At £95 (net-a-porter.com) they’re not really overpriced either. Maybe a little.   ….naaahhh.

OR

Should I opt for my second pair of Ray-Bans and go for the Cat Eye Acetate Glasses? I love how 50s they are, so chic and alternative. Alternative…naf word. Naf? My vocab is not on form, I apologise. ;) At £110 these a little more pricey.

Or do you have an alternative suggestion? Let me know guys & gals!

Let’s Make This A Routine ;)

Hello my readers, Hello friends, Hello Cybermonsters!

Today, lets talk about my face. *Giggles*

Just joking.

But seriously.

Image

Mind my flyaways. I haven’t photoshop’d my face or makeup. I wish I knew how to use photoshop. However, I worship the genetics I inherited, I’m not on about beauty or anything like that but great skin has been passed down generations of my family. My Great Grandma had absolutely beautiful skin right up to her last days. My mum, Aunty & Grandma also have inherited it and I’m happy to say that I think I have too. The only difference is that I have eczema so mine is a little more fragile than theres is but I can deal with that. There’s not really any products that I’ve found irritate my skin, as such, however I know two things 1) It hates wool. And any of it’s relatives. B) It doesn’t like “heavy” creams. Usually, the thick textured moisturisers are the worst because they’re full of chemicals. Skin no like.

So what do I use on my skin? Like every gal I get breakouts so as soon as I feel that tingle of irritation I reach for my ZIT ZAPPER. “Oh how desirable! She has a zit zapper!” Yes. I use the Elf Zit Zapper, £1.50 to prolong any explosions on my face. Tea Tree Oil is the main ingredient that does this so it’s not that it’s some miracle formular because it isn’t. Anything with Tea Tree in is a great base point for fighting skin crime. I really like Elf, I think you have to “pick and choose” with there products. Some are great. Some are NOT great. I’d recommend watching reviews on Youtube, ordering a few and trying them out for yourself. Everything starts from like £1.00 so you’ve not really got much to lose!

Image

Unfortunately, the rest of the products in my daily skin care aren’t so cheap…

I believe in using several products of the same range when treating your skin day in day out. I’m a FIRM believer in this. In fact…it’s probably my religion. So which religious cult am I in? Chanel. It’s not the crowd I follow, I’m not influenced by anything or anyone. At about 14 years old I found Chanel moisturisers. One of my most expensive purchases. And why? Because I realised that I had good skin at an early age and I wanted to treasure it. (I still sleep in my make-up from time to time though, a girl ain’t perfect!) That was about 6 years ago however, I think it was a simular formular to the current Chanel Hydramax. Last year when I wanted to start making a real investment into my skin I revisited my local Chanel counter and spoke to a professional. After a few month’s of saving and slowly collecting, one by one, I now have a full skin care routine by Chanel.

Just in case I stay at my Mum’s house and I don’t take anything with me, which believe me happens more often than not, I have a back-up Chanel facewash at her house! This is partly so I don’t use it all the time but it’s a gorgeous product. It’s a foam wash but with exfoliating properties so there’s no microbeads or anything like that but it just exfoliates through all of the purifying qualities, which I find overpowering to use every single day. Hence why I don’t have it at home with me. I know if it was in reach I’d use it all the time because Foam face washes are so easy to use and you feel so refreshed after every use! It’s also another great product for keeping spots and oily spoil-y skin at bay! A 150ml bottle is £29 but I’ve used mine loads since I brought it a year ago, and I know my sister has too so you definitely get your moneys’ worth!

MOUSSE EXFOLIANTE PURETE Rinse Off, Exfoliating, Cleansing Foam – Purity + Anti-Pollution

Image

When at home -Home Home Home- I start my routine with a lovely little cleanser I like to call “My New Friend”. It’s my new friend because after months of trying different cleaners I found that none of them like my skin and my skin just wants to be friends with Chanel. Therefore, I have invested in yet another product of theres. This will sound gross but when I’m taking my make-up off I like to see the grime.

I like to see the grime? What am I?

Let’s bypass that.

To conclude. I went for a cleansing milk. It’s in a pump bottle which is useful because you have much more control over how much you get on your cotton pad. Then you have the option as to whether to use it on it’s own or with water. I use it on it’s own but in the summer I may opt to use it with water just so I get a more refreshing feel. For 150ml bottle it was £27 but it’s oh so gentle. None of that draining crap you get with face wipes. Your cleanser is crucial because you need to make sure your getting rid of the crap on your face so that you can moisturise it. You don’t want to moisturise dirt into your beautiful face do you? As I said before, I’ve only just got this beaut so there’s still time for it all to go wrong….

Side note: They do another product called Lait Confort which is very much the same but is more about comfort rather than balance. I’m not entirely sure of the specific difference? Google it ;)

LAIT DOUCEUR Cleansing Milk, Balance + Anti-pollution for Face & EyesImage

These are the cleansers I’ve tried & tested:

- Topshop Facial Cleansing Wipes £2.50

A great product for getting rid of oiliness but for me they remove “too” much. I found my skin feeling drained, like I was removing too much just from cleansing. They smell gorgeous though!

- Garnier Soft Essentials Complete Cleansing Milk £3.01

Another great scented product, unfortunately this product was so rich I could hardly touch it! Another “heavy” product.

- Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Wipes £3.20

Simple are a brand I go back to time and time again and I just think they are too simple. Ironic, I know. They dry out in the packaging really quickly and they seem to not actually remove the gritty bits of dirt that are hard to remove like liquid eye liner.

- Simple Oil Balancing Wipes £3.20

As above, however, I don’t really like the smell of these ones either.

- No7 Quick Thinking 4 in 1 Wipes £7.00

I didn’t repurchase. Enough said.

This is to name a few. I’ve also tried cleansing products from Botanics, Nivea, Johnson’s & Neutrogena.

Next up is my toner! Oh boy does it tone! It removes the best of the best. It’s also another great spot buster. I don’t worry about breakouts anymore because this is my go to product every time. Again it’s about £27 a bottle. If you shop at Boots you can save your loyalty points and use them for a few products instead of forking out loads of money! It’s a great formular for restoring balance and according to Chanel “protects the skins ecosystem”.

LOTION DOUCER Gentle Hydrating Toner, Balance + Anti-pollutionImage

Every now and again I use a face scrub and for that I turn to GOMMAGE MICROPERLE ECLAT Maximum Radiance Exfoliating Gel. Its so gentle for a face scrub and is about £32. It’s going to seem extremely expensive for saying I don’t really have much to say about it. It’s not life changing but I like it.

The cheapest and most used product by far is my eye make-up remover. At £21 for 100ml I would say….YOU NEED THIS. You could put the strongest water-proof mascara on and it would remove it but not in a “chemical-way” in a “water-way”. That’s the definition of gentle. Right there. It’s so sensitive and I don’t believe in using too many creams under your eyes because it can add to baggage but this is perfect to avoid that! You know when you under eyes get really dehydrated and your make-up sticks to your skin can gives you a cakey-scale-like look even though you’ve used oil-based concealers or a primer? Well this make-up remover is made of two parts. The upper part is full of cleansing oils and the lower is rose and cornflower oils which combine to not only removed the toughest of make-up but it also hydrates the most tender part of your face and keeps in the in the most beautiful condition. So much so that I’ve just repurchased this item…I NEVER REPURCHASE! I never get the chance to because I never like a product enough! Worth every penny you are my beautiful Demaquillant Yeux Intense youuuuu!

AND THE GRAND FINALEEEEEE!

Which is….

Dun. Dun. Dunnnnnnnnnn.

My beautiful beautiful beautiful:

BEAUTE INITIALE Multi-protection, SPF15 moisturiser

If you’re a regular reader, you’ll know that I lost his. I cried a little inside. My skin seriously had withdrawal symptoms. It’s just about recovered now. It protects your skin from every day skin damage – which is where signs of early ageing appears. It is also hydrating to the point where you still need to use it every day, so it doesn’t build up or make your skin oily. Moisturising your skin EVERY SINGLE DAY is crucial and it has to be done. No excuses. Now, this was about the £50 mark as all Chanel moisturisers are but you can use them every day and they do last a good few months.

Unfortunately, Chanel are finishing this line of products and are shifting about the ranges. I’m not 100% sure whats happening but I think all of the above products will still be available because they are still purchasable online at Boots & Chanel. My dear moisturiser is not available anywhere now, sadly. In a way it’s good because they are sort of combining it with the Hydramax which will actually be better for me. Oh French skincare, how you own my heart!

Writing this has really made me want to go on a spree now….

*serious face*

GLOSSYBOX – April 2012

Image

This picture may look as if it’s upside down….It’s not. It’s just clever.ImageImageImage

This was my first Glossybox & I can’t tell you how excited I was to get it! Firstly, it was sent to my mums’ address, so I had to wait even longer to get it! After much anticipation I finally got my paws on it! IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! The month of April sported the “Natural” box. The box itself was made from 100% biodegradable…ness. Yum! Then all of the products were, naturally formed…I’m not describing this very well, am I? Here’s the products I received in my little box!

First up was the Caudalie Vinosource

Does it have wine in it?

It’s a thirst quenching serum, so it’s extremely hydrating and you apply it under your moisturiser. Caudalie is a massively talked about brand! With a cliental base that is not only supported by almost every youtube beauty blogger but also Victoria Beckham. However, the sample seems so small for how big my excitement was! I’ll let you know how I get on with this one ;)

http://www.caudalie.com/uk/

Next up was the Inika Cosmetics Organic Eyeliner…I’m not going to lie, I didn’t actually know you could get organic make-up!!! I thought it was just food that was organic & clothing! I haven’t tried this brand before and I have to say I’m ridiculously ecstatic about this because I got the brown eyeliner. This is made better by the fact that I just brought a new brown mascara a few days ago and I think brown eyeliner & brown mascara create a gorgeous natural look together!

http://inikacosmetics.co.uk/

Figs & Rouge Lipbalm is so scruptious! I got the flavour Rambling Rose and I’ve worn it pretty much everyday since getting it. The consistency is quiet thing and the particles are almost like little grains of sugar which exfoliate the lip a little bit then dissolve as you run it in. It’s a multi purpose balm which I think is just another plus and as I mentioned before it is scrumptious in taste & smell! The little tins they are packaged in are also very cute and all come with a different old, parisian style design on them.

Not forgetting the main part…it’s made in the UK so it’s BEAUTIFULLY BRITISH!

http://www.figsandrouge.com/

The product I’m least excited about is the Ayuuri Natural Sandalwood Bodywash mainly because Bodywash isn’t very exciting so I’ll keep this short. I’ll let you know how I get on with it :p

http://www.ayuuri.co.uk/

My final product was a tiny little sample of perfume from a brand called Kai -which I managed to spill all over me. This has to be one of THE most powerful scents I’ve ever smelt. I could still smell it in the morning & after I’d had a shower. The smell is had to explain, however my mum had a specific name for it that I can no longer remember. I think it’s more of an older woman’s scent because it’s quite heavy. NOT STEREOTYPING AT ALL. MASSIVE DISCLAIMER. But all of the older women I know in my life would love it because I know all of the perfumes most of them wear. Take a look for yourself ;)

http://www.kaifragrance.com/

I couldn’t be more pleased with my Glossybox, the only problem now is…I WANT MY NEXT ONE!

Lush ‘Love Lettuce’ Fresh Face Mask

On a recent shopping spree I picked up one of the highly recommended face masks from Lush. Now, I don’t really “do” face masks. I have a really great, very light, face scrub from Chanel that I use in the shower because it’s very simple. However, I have always found face masks so messy. So I was reluctant to make this purchase. However, I felt it was time to bite the LUSH bullet. See what I did there ;)

The face masks HAVE to be kept in the fridge because they are made from all natural ingredients (claps for no preservatives!)

Let’s cut to the chase…I slopped a hand full on my face and basically did that till my face was all coloured in. The consistency is thick and microbead-y but it doesn’t contain any of those oh no no no baby. Next up you look how beautiful you appear to the world. TAKE A PICTURE! Go on. Then you leave it for about 10-15 mins.

I did a bit of pre-fask mask prepping and opened my pores with some hot water so that the ingredients could cleanse deep!

Afterwards you wash it off and take another picture because you look glowing!

So why am I going to recommend this face mask? Because it doesn’t form your face into a hard rock. The scent of lavender that rises from it is so soothing and fresh. My skin not only felt soft, tingly and revitalised but I felt relaxed too! Also, my reoccurring oily t-zone is now a no-zone. It’s disappeared! Thanks to the Lavender apparently? French Lavender, when it’s 100% natural, reduces the skins sebum production. GO johnny go go! A few other ingredients are ground almond shells, honey, and seaweed gel…whatever that is.

For overseas customers (outside the UK) who want to try one of these beautiful products they do ship worldwide but recommend alternatives like MAGNAMINTY which doesn’t need to be refrigerated!

Have fun! Let me know if you’ve had a Lush splurge! And what your favourites are!

https://www.lush.co.uk/product/268/Love-Lettuce-Fresh-Face-Mask

(£5.75 for 75g which the assistant told me would last me three weeks if I used it once a week but looking at the amount of it in the container I, personally, will think it will last longer.)

My skin was literally glowing after. I look like a drowned rat. Excuse my hair.

It’s A Train Day!

Bonjour! Hello! Hola! Etc.

So a few weeks ago I visited York Model Railway Exhibition with my boyfriend because he’s got this train thing going on right now. Now, most girls would probably be bored out of there brains at a train exhibition of any sort however, I loved it. I also loved the brief shopping trip in the beautiful city of York after too! Seriously though, my granddad used to keep a Hornby set when we were little and I have so many memories of him setting up the trains on the dining room table and my sister would  be sat with me as we just watched these trains go round and round the track! Now that I’m a bit older I was a little anxious that I’d get massively bored at this convention type event but I just didn’t! There were floors and floors and floors of stuff to see and do! So I thought I upload a few pictures from the event to shake things up on here a bit!

The people who create these layouts are true artists, hours and hours of work go in to making the tiny little parts that come together to make the full picture.

Most of these pictures of of 00 Gauge which is a very small scale of Model Railway, the track measures in at 4mm.

(If this is wrong, I’m in the dog house tonight)

THE BEST PART OF THE DAY: Seeing my boyfriend so excited and happy!

THE WORST PART OF THE DAY: The food at the York Race Course.

After we’d explored most of the floors at the Exhibition we wandered over to the town center. SHOPPING HHHMMMM MY PRECIOUS!

Exactly.

Patisserie Valerie…if you haven’t heard of this place before it’s french for BEAUTIFUL DESERTS. Just kidding. But seriously, the deserts are beautiful. It’s basically a pudding parlour. Below is a picture of my lemon sorbet ice cream which was TO DIE FOR. Gahhhhh it was so tasty! I also brought a few macaroons that I never got round to eating…standard. The packaging and the store is just so juicy, I want to live there! It’s a haven of desserts!

A brief history of Patisserie Valerie (Since I can’t give you much knowledge of trains)

The first store was opened in Soho in 1926, on Frith Street. The little Patisserie blossomed as the owner Madam Valerie had a Julia Child – like attitude and wanted to introduce “fine continental patisserie” to our beautifully british little Island. And it’s been alive and kicking ever since!

Let me know if you’ve been, what you tried & what you think :]
